So schnell kann’s gehen: Da war es nur noch einer… Nachdem letzten Mittwoch wilde Männer in unserem Haus ein- und ausgingen – wir haben ein weiteres Klimagerät einbauen lassen und die kamen zu dritt und brachten einen Bohrer mit – wurde es Pünktchen und Anton zu laut und sie verschwanden ins Freie. Als Gerd und ich abends vom Dinner heimkamen, saß Pünktchen heulend vor der Terrassentür – ohne seinen Bruder. Wir haben tagelang gerufen, gesucht, rumgefragt – keine Chance. Ich befürchte, unser süßer, neugieriger, vorlauter, mutiger, kleiner Schatz ist unter die Räder oder unter einen Straßenköter gekommen. Jetzt sind natürlich alle in Trauer und Pünktchen, der sowieso der Schüchterne und Ängstliche der beiden ist – ist völlig durch den Wind, schließlich hat er sein gesamtes bisheriges Leben – knapp fünf Monate – mit Anton verbracht.

Den noch verbliebenen Kater hüte ich natürlich nun wie meinen Augapfel. Er darf vorläufig nicht raus! Ich weiß, das ist gegen die Katzennatur, aber ich hab so Angst, dass ihm was auch was passiert. Es heißt Katzen hätten sieben Leben, aber in Indien haben sie nur eines und das kann verdammt kurz sein!
