Unser Container ist in Bengalore angekommen. Mehr als zwei Monate waren unsere Habseligkeiten nun auf hoher See unterwegs. Hoffentlich ist alles heil geblieben! Heute müssen alle Kisten durch den indischen Zoll. Gerd hat persönlich am Lkw zu erscheinen, wenn dieser geöffnet wird. 4 bis 5 Stunden Zeit sollen wir einplanen, hieß es. „Die durchsuchen die Kisten gründlich, weil sie Gegenstände finden möchten, auf die sie noch Zoll erheben können“, hörten wir im Vorfeld. Mir ist ein wenig mulmig, weil ich so viele Spültabs dabei habe – die müssen für zwei Familien drei Jahre reichen. Der Kappo von der Spedition in Deutschland prophezeite mir Schwierigkeiten. „Die werden glauben, Sie wollen einen Kleinhandel mit Spülmitteln aufmachen.“ Aber nichts! Die Spültabs gehen anstandslos durch, ebenso die 20 Packungen Klopapier und mein Jahresvorrat Kaffee. Problematisch sind die IKEA-Regale. Man darf nach Indien nämlich nur gebrauchte Möbel, keine Neuware einführen. Aber der IKEA in Bengalore ist „coming soon 2020“, sodass sich natürlich alle Expats vor der Ausreise noch mal gründlich bei den Schweden eindecken. Also müssen wir dafür Zoll bezahlen. Sehr bedauert wird, dass wir wirklich nur ein Fernsehgerät dabei haben und auch sonst nicht viel wertvolles Elektronisches. Da stürzen sie sich halt auf meine Mini-Stereoanlage aus vorsintflutlicher Zeit. Die hat sogar noch ein Cassettenteil, so alt ist sie. Aber wir müssen darauf Zoll zahlen. Was die denn neu wert sei? Ja, nix, weil es keine Stereoanlagen mit Cassettendeck mehr gibt…

Nach gut einer Stunde sind alle Formalitäten erledigt, alle Kartons vom deutschen Container in einen indischen verladen und wir sind entlassen. Jetzt muss nur noch die Zollgebühr bezahlt werden und dann darf unser Hausrat zu uns. Wunschtermin ist übermorgen, weil da Samstag ist. „Wir bemühen uns“, heißt es. Ich bin skeptisch. Gerd schreibt ein überaus schwülstiges Dankes-Mail an die Spedition und betont, „es wäre unschlagbar, wenn unsere Sachen am Samstag im Adarsh wären…“ und siehe da:

Unser Hausstand wird ausgeladen, ausgepackt und aufgebaut! Sieben Mann hoch kommen in unser Haus und stellen alle Kartons in die zuständigen Räume und die Sachen für Christian und Tanja Teich in die Garage. Dann wird erstmal Mittagspause gemacht. Danach ist innerhalb von zwei Stunden alles ausgepackt und nichts ist kaputt gegangen. Wow! Ich denke noch: “Mist, das ist jetzt gar nix für meinen Blog!“ Aber man muss auch mal loben können: Das haben die Inder super hingekriegt!

Gerd macht sich gleich ans Werk und baut die IKEA-Regale auf.

Tanja und Christian Teich sind happy, dass auch sie jetzt den Rest ihres Haushalts haben.

  538. Every code I try either leaves a massive gap at the top of the page, or at the bottom of the page. Its definitely that code causing it.. I’ve tried so many codes trying to hide the blogs & extended network, but they all leave a white gap either at the top or at the bottom.. Anyone got one that doesnt cause the white gap?
